Does the deck lid unlock?
If not, you need to remove the right rear seat back to access the switches.

Before you pull out the back seat make sure you have power to the switch. I had a bad connection at the starter relay once. Do you get an audible click when you hit the button? You should have the manual or at least the top manual. Your problem could be several things.

Excellent decision. I had Drax put those new switches in my 65 several years ago. It works great. I was so pleased that I gave him all the original switches.
