Weatherstripping adhesive

Ok so I'm finally getting to replacing that nasty trunk weatehrstripping and need to know what type of adhesive I should use so I don'thave to go through this again. Has anyone had any luck with adhesive for this or is contcat cement good enough. thanks!

Use 3M weatherstrip adhesive.
