is there a way to color a silver console insert blue to match the rest for my 63 bird?
previous owner tried spray paint and it looks bad

If you strip all the old paint off, They have a green ecthing primer you can buy in most auto stores. Then you can spray regular paint on that. I've done a number of 66 hubcaps that are stainless and they come out perfect and hold up. Sorry i don't remember the exact name of the primer. I guess your talking about the metel piece.
