Wondering if anyone has done a disc conversion on a '63. I'd like to do the swap and not interested in paying for a $1000 kit. Even at that I;ve seen an absense of info on 63 brakes. I'm guessing that they have changed from 62 to 64.

Hi, the spindles and rotors etc will fit from a 65-66 thunderbird on your 63. I know you do not want to spend $1000.00 on a kit but you need to consider what you would need to spend to purchase and recondition all the parts from an earlier bird and then isntall on yours to get it up and running. i do not advocate buying a kit but you need to know that it is not cheap to rebuild and install all these components. no matter how you go about this project it will cost at least that much money or a lot of scrounging and time of yours to get it all done right. any used parts you purchase should be reconditioned before installing. othewise it is a waste of time. it is very hard to find good used rotors. you will probably have to buy new ones to have anythihg that would be reliable. you will need new hoses. you will have to change out the master cylinder and booster and add a proportioning valve. all these items should be bought already rebuilt or new. I have sold a good number of these setups already for people to do the conversion. good luck and let me know if there is any other info you may want.

How much do you sell your kit for? Is everything included?
