I've got a 61 TBIRD, My Electric windows and Top stop working when car has been running for a while. After I let the car cool down they work fine. I suspect there is a wiring issues and needs to be replaced.
If anyone has and sugestions please let us know, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

G'Day Any electric problem MUST be diagnosed first BEFORE any repairs or parts are to be replaced. Take time to learn some very easy basics about how currents flow and why they DON'T! Look on the internet about how to do 'Voltage Drop Tests' I CAN'T STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS ONE PROCEDURE WILL BE TO YOU. Remember that old Fords used ROUND male/female, push/pull connectors extensively!when a connector is examined, PLEASE don't just look at it and make a judgment on it's condition by looks alone. Take time to file or rough up that dull silver gray pin/eyelet so it is SHINY ON BOTH CONNECTIONS.
That also includes scratching clean the body part that the ground connector is secured to.
Tip: assemble cleaned/scratched ends with some Dielectric Grease All the time. Remember you are working on a 50 year old car.
Good Luck, George

I have yet to find any design flaw on my 61, Thanks Henry

there are circuit breakers in the power circuits that are likely tripping and resetting

wiring and devices need to be checked out - but could be a faulty circuit breaker too

Below is a sample wiring diagram for the power windows - there is a circuit breaker feeding the ciscuit - you should have a TBird repair manual for the lications etc
