Can you help me with a Definitive answer -?
I have a 1965 Thunderbird with a Cruise-O-Matic and I am thinking of changing it to A C-6.
I have been told that the Trans Tunnel would have to be modified and some other fabrication would have to be done……Is This True?, Or will the C-6 Drop right in?

No trans tunnel mods. You'll need to change the crossmember. carb linkage to trans, Motor mounts. You can get what you need off a late 66 bird that came with the C-6, The earlier ones came with a cruise-o-matic. Where are you located?

Thanks Bob For The Info I just may leave it keep the Crusie-O-Matic and have it rebuilt.
My understanding is that the C-6 was a better Trans,
We have just Had My 390 rebuilt and tweeke. 30 over 428 cam GT pistons and GT intake manafold. Now about 375 HP.
So the last thing I need is a trans that won't handel the new Power.
And I Live in Mich.
Any othe input is greatly Appreciated

didn't know you added that power. In that case i would go with a later C-6 and get rid of the green dot shifting. Maybe even an FMX. JMO. here is a good place to go for Ford trans info. Good luck Bob.
