Interior opinion needed.

I'm going to ask for an opinion here. I have a '69 ForDor Landau with black
brougham interior. Right now it has a power bench seat. Several years ago I
bought bucket seats and console to put in it. I've been wanting to order the
correct fabric to recover the buckets, but right now I've been having second
and third thoughts.

I was leaning towards selling the buckets and console, as I have a feeling
that this is one modification that won't get accomplished.

Then I was at the upholstery shop to have work done on another car, when I
had this thought. Completely redo the entire interior in black leather and
have the Thunderbird emblem from the grill embroidered in the seat backs
instead of the design Ford used. Of course the emblem would be silver with
the agua stones.

Note: This car will never be a "show" car except for maybe a small local
show. What do you think?

Sounds very nice, you could make it super comfortable at the same time. This is something I would like to do on my 62 Hardtop, current seating is adequate but tired!

The idea of the logo embroidered into seats is not new but looks very nice if well done.

Post some images if you do it!!!!

If I do it, it will be a while. there is only one place that sells the OEM material. They want a large fortune for it also. With current conditions, this project has been put on hold.

Mike B.

New here and just found this forum. I have a 68 with the brougham interior and the side panels and rear seats are in pristine condition. The driver's seat (as usual) is showing the most wear. What is the place who sales the OEM material as I would only need it for the drivers and perhaps passenger side.

Thanks,
