| Thanks Kandiapple66 ! Details I needed. Quick follow-up: Are you implying that in '65 both size batteries were sent from the factory, or is one more "correct" than the other? Also, I believe Ford used all red-caps over the cells... correct?

My 66 has a build date of Nov 18th 1965 (date code 18L) ... I do not know if this qualifies as an early build?? But I do know, same as you, upon close inspection, my t-bird never had heat shield installed. The inner fender certainly has no screw holes on it from where the heat shield would have mounted. Anybody know if my bird would be considered an early or late build?
