I know a lot of folks have had problems with the 69 sequential turn signals working. I have a different twist - My directional signals also don't work, but I have discovered that the sequential unit that should be in the trunk/back seat area is missing/gone! Wires appear to have been spliced by some previous owner.
Is this the source of my problem -or- should/could the signals work anyway without this sequential unit if they were spliced properly?

Note: I do get power to bulb socket contact with turn lever on.

Any thoughts??

I dont think they could work correctly with out the unit as there would be nothing to switch juice from bulb to bulb. I would think your set up would give you a always on or off depending on what you are activating. ps where in So Florida are you? I lived there for nearly 20 years. Moved north and now have 15 birds.

15 TBirds!! My goodness, no wonder you needed to move out of crowded south florida! I always find it difficult to follow when someone else has done some re-wiring to an old car. The wire color codes on a schematic no longer apply because previous owners always seem to use the same color wire for all repairs!! Anyway, I hope I can figure out how to undo what someone else has done and re-connect a new sequential unit. Sure would have been nice if they would have left the box! (I'm in pompano)

Tony
Used to work in Pompano at the Benz dealer(before AutoNation bought it) any how I will take a look thru my extra stuff as I have a ton of extra pieces for all my toys. Dont know if you know of T-Bird Sanctuary but if not go on their website and request a catalog. It is very detailed as to placement of items and although it wont give you a wiring diagram it will show the exploded view. It basically resembles the original parts books.
