My 65 brakes all of a sudden got really stiff, and the pedals got very sensitive, meaning no soft pedal at all.
There is plenty of fluid so does this mean a new power brake booster?

Thanks

b, with the engine off, pump the brake pedal a few times and then step down hard and hold. The pedal should feel solid. If it slowly goes down, there may be a hydaulic leak. Now step on the pedal and hold light pressure. While holding the pedal, start the engine. The pedal should fall away slightly. If not, the booster is probably defective. If you determine that the booster is at fault, don't bother with parts store rebuilds. Send your original to Booster Dewey in Portland, OR, 503-238-8882. He's one of the best. Good luck.

First make sure the vacuum line from to the brake booster is connected or does not have a leak in it. Also make sure the check valve on the booster is not defective or leaking.
