In the last six months I have spent a small fortune. This car has had every thing done with the excetion of a new motor. Problem...smokes, smokes, and more smoke. Can any one give me an idea of what I can do to clean out her pipes? Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. She runs good once you get her going but the fumes and the smoke are terible. Thanks

The smoke must be coming from burning coolant, oil, tranny fluid or gasoline. You notice the consumption of any of those? Next step would be to do a compression check to see if the problem is inside the cylinder.

rat, you do not provide enough information. For example, what color is this "smoke"? If it is white, that may indicate coolant. If it is black, that may indicate excessive fuel. If it is blue that may indicate oil. Each one also has its own distinctive odor as well. BTW, you don't specify where the smoke is coming from either.

well seeing hows he said pipes i would imagine that it is comming from the tail pipes and if that is the case she is just warming up it comes with the beast once shes warm it stops smelling so bad and it stops smoking trust me there are 2 solid black marks where my car used to be parked at my highschool from when i would let her warm up anyway hope that helps there is nothing you can do unless u replace the exhaust to new exhaust; what grade fuel are you running as well

I don't think new exhaust pipes are going to help any, I've never heard of a smokey exhaust pipe. Do the compression test, most likely some cylinders are dead.
