I just bought a '64 Thunderbird convertible and I really need some good information on how to fix it up. The first big project for me to do is to get the convertible top to work automatically, It's too hard to put down manually with only 1 person. I bought: Thunderbird Restoration Guide 1958-1966 by William Wonder. Does anyone have any good suggestions on any other books I should get? Some pics of what I have to work with are here: ftp://anonymous.kbahr@isua.iastate.edu/thunderchicken.zip

Thanks in advance,
Ken Bahr

Get the shop manual, convertible top repair manual, wiring diagrams and any other manuals you think you will need, because you probably will need them at some time.

E-mail me at "marchij@hotmail.com" and include your phone number I will be glad to call you and discuss the convertible top with you. I just went through my '66 and installed the replacement relay system sold on this site and some other parts and it it working just fine.
