As I was looking over e-bay, and checking prices in the "thunder Bird Headguaters" catalog, My friend asked what color the engine was painted.
I was thinking of going chrome, but that made me wonder, as well.
Does anybody know?
And I know it's all personall preferance, but I didn't think about color.

The engine (if original) on a 65 Bird was black block with gold valve covers and air cleaner I believe

Greatly appriciate the note. I'll be glad to put that to rest. Now my body shop guy want's me to paint it all kinds of colors. I'll post what I decided on.
