E-brake release

Hi again the more I look at my new 65 the more I find to fix...The e-brake auto release does not function. The line is hookup from the vaccum source and from the neutral safety switch. When the auto brake release is applied (vaccum) the lever on the vaccum switch move the e-brake release. It just does not move it far enough to release the brake. I lubrecated all the parts but still not enough to release the brake. It also looks very difficult to get to the vaccum switch release? Any ideas what could cause the problem? Thanks..Jerry

You may have a leak somewhere in the lines from the engine to the release. Try running a line from the engine directly to the release. If it works you have a leak in one of the vacuum lines or at the neutral safety switch. If it still doesn't work it probably is the release itself.
