Is there some special way to remove the pulley from the PS pump. I used my two-arm pulley puller and followed the directions in the service manual, but I still boogered up the pulley. What gives?

The pulley puller is what you need. These are sometimes very hard to remove because they are on for so long get a lot of crud build up.

Is the puller you have the split ring with a screw the pushes down while locked on to the pulley nut? Their are many styles just be sure the one you have is for the proper application.

It took me forever to get mine off so I took mine to my local garage and they took it off for me and put it on the new pump at no cost. Something to consider.

If you can't get there in a Thunderbird, the trip isn't worth taking!
