Crankcase exhaust

My early 1962 TBird has a crankcase exhaust pipe without a PCV. The port for the conection below the carb is sealed on this motor. Presently the car is smoking a little since its been sitting for 18 months. The smoke is bothering the rest of my family (wife and kids) when we take a spin. Don't really want to tis it back into the manifold until I resolve the smoke problem. So the other Idea is just to "T" into one of the exhaust pipes so it goes out the back of the car.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Will try BG44 next weekend to see if it resolves the smoke.

This is a little beyond me but the crankcase vent is low pressure and wouldn't the exhaust tap allow exhaust gas into the crank case?

Akin to your idea; could you run a length of plastic tubing from the vent to the rear of the car as a temporary solution? This would deposit the crankcase gas out the back like you want.

Good luck, Vince
