I have been looking everywhere for these rare hard to find engine mounts that go to my 1972 ford thunderbird which has a big block 460 CID engine...
I live in Alaska, but all the major stores like schucks, napa, B&C dont have any remanufacturing suppliers for this particular style engine mount... My engine has been suspended in the air on a cherry picker for 3 weeks still looking for the engine mounts, and finally a good friend of mine found one that matches from his stockpile of parts, but were trying to hunt down one more. I found one online for $150 and didnt want to get just one mount so i held off on getting it, now I went back to see if it was the corerect side I need, and it is no longer there. lol ... so apparently it must be worth $150 to someone out there... I bought this used one for $100 from my friend... he was nice enough to clean it up and paint it for me too... well I am still hunting for the other side whichever that might be.... Ill find out tomorrow. wish me good luck! Oh yea for you guys that would like to see pictures of my 1972 thunderbird please go here: http://www.ak49.com/72thunderbird I'm the second owner, lived most of its life in the well preserving environment of colorado. The engine was rebuilt in 95 by spitfire automotive in denver colorado. Got vandalized in Alaska 2 times, and snow plow truck driver ran into it I think... people have a nice way of putting dents in your car and leaving you wondering where the dent came from. Anyways Have fun restoring you vehicles everyone! Merry Christmas too. |

Try jasper engines, I purchased a reman from them and they offer and install kit. They may be able to help you.
Jasper Engines I am also a proud owner of a 72 Thunderbird. Just took delivery of it December 3rd. This was my first car so I have always wanted to find another when I was able to afford it. It is black with black interior, it has the bucket seats and the 460ci engine. It's an 'A' code so I know the 460 is original. Your link didn't take me to your site so if you can post some pics I would love to see it. Here is my baby: If you can't get there in a Thunderbird, the trip isn't worth taking! |

Try classic Lincoln Mark series suppliers. I think the T-bird and Mark series of that year are the same.
