Hello, I have a 66 town landau that the orginal color is brittany blue. I have completely stripped down the car and I am thinking of changing the color to dark blue metallic. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a car or a picture in that color for comparison. If anyone has a picture of a dark blue tbird could you post it . Were tbirds in dark blue popular? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Mike.

According the the Automotive Mileposts website there was a "Nightmist Blue" that was a dark blue for 1966. Their paint swatch is not helpful you may be able to get a store to show you something. I too don't recall seeing a picture of one, might be someone in the Thunderbird Registry.

Greg & Jackie Dockter of Bismarck, ND have a dark blue 66 convertible. I believe it's on the registry. Just do a search there and I'm sure you'll find a picture.
It looks nice. Gives the 'bird an "elegant" look.

Fords traditionally look good with Dark Blue metallic and white tops. This goes back to Model A's, Deuce Coupes, 1936es, can't go wrong, almost Ford Corporate signature...

Not sure if the problem is the size of the pictures but there are several cars in the Thunderbird Registry that are Nightmist Blue (tbirdregistry.com). You can search for the color itself and you can look at cars 2561,3201,11201, 11951. Regards, Vince
