hi guys, i have a 69 bird which ive nearly finiished fixing up for the shows, i was lookin around at cars for sale the other day over here in the uk and some guy is selling a 68 bird, its a bit tatty but i wanted to know if things would fit on mine like :
front and rear bumpers
windows - all round
exhaust system
certain interior bits if it has the same trim
trunk lid
hood
etc

i also noticed it had a passenger side wing mirror and i know these are real rare.

should i get this to strip you think and have all the decent parts off it .

please help me asap as i need to know before it gets sold .

You should get someone like John Draxler get you more details. However, I can recall that the grill was about the only thing different between the two. Possible the seat pleats and things may be different but doesn't sound like you need those. The frames are probably the same if you ever need to rebuild the seats. Good luck Vince

Yes, just about everything from a 68 will transfer to a 69. About the only difference is the front grill and the tail lights. On the 68 the bird emblems are on the head light doors, where on the 69 the bird emblem is centered on the grill. This is similar to a 67, but smaller. hood, trunck, body panels, interior parts are the same.

You very lucky to find a right hand door mirror. When these come up on eBay, they go for over $300.00 (us dollars) and they don't even half to be in good condition.

If the 68 is still for sale, and cheap enough, It would make a good parts car for you.
