Wanted to say hello to everyone, I've just bought a 63' and thought this might be a good place to learn how to look after it. Looking for any and all help/suggestions, it's a strong runner and looks pretty good, save for the interior and a few suspicious bondo'd spots

Welcome. If you have not already, I would purchase all the maintenance books. John Draxler has them at Thunderbird Ranch. This would at least include the shop manual plus the Electric/ Vac manual and body manual. You and/or your mechanic will need them eventually and you can save yourself a lot of delay by having them on hand.
IF you are going to try to put the car into "orignial" condition, you should go on the VTCI site and buy the concours rules. This tells you what everything should look like. Mine will be a driver and it will be close but I'm not going for points. Have fun. |
