Hi,
I'm new to the forum and have just recently started looking at thunderbirds. So... hello! Smile

I'm trying to evaluate the worth of the following:
1962 thunderbird coupe. Not original motor, not running, but also not stuck. Needs floor pans, seat coverings and some replacement quarter panels. Body looks pretty straight - structuraly sound that is. I've had a seasoned veteran friend look at the car and he says it's a sound restoration candidate.

Included in the deal is an as-yet-unseen parts car that's sitting in the woods 6 hours north of where I live. This car has the original engine in it, supposedly. Other than that, I have no clue what kind of shape it's in.

Provided I can get some useful parts off of the 2nd car, does this package deal seem like it's worth $1000 give or take?

Going by the Old Cars price guide, a 1962 Thunderbird HT in a condition that needs complete restoration is worth $2,880-a car useful only for parts is worth $980-I would think that $1,000 for these two cars might be worth it.

cool, thanks for the info. What's the "Old Cars Price Guide"? A magazine? Web site?

Old cars is a magazine that's put out on a weekly or bi-weekly basis-can never remember. They put out an annual guide to prices-Thunderbirds have their own section.
